Providing natural, high quality beef that protects and sustains the environment.
| | | We began with a simple principle... Agriculture based on relationship . . . Our family’s relationship to the land, to the community of plants and wildlife that have lived here for generations, and to each individual animal we raise . . .
. . . the result is natural, high quality beef that protects the environment.

Meet the Peplow Family We believe in this land. Our family has lived in the Yakima and Kittitas valleys for five generations. Our love for this land, and our commitment to pass it on to the next generation, preserved of its natural beauty, native plants and a healthy ecosystem is a family commitment. Our ranch is a small, family operation that cares for each animal as an individual. Our animals are never penned, and enjoy a variety of native grasses and plants as their cuisine, living in harmony with the natural habitat of many wildlife species. | | |
| | | Why we are Mennonite Ranchers Mennonite practices are based on principles that are set forth in the Bible and discerned within a community of committed individuals. Mennonite farmer, William Dellinger, writes, “… Farming can be violent: violent in the way a farmer treats his livestock, helpers, and family. Violent when they think they own land. Mennonites understand themselves to be the quiet in the land. Gentleness and compassion are vital when working with animals, plants, people.”
Although we ranch naturally, without chemicals or oil-based fertilizer, we use trucks to carry our beef to market, and to commute to jobs to help support the ranch. At worst, or ranch produces clean food for people, with a minimum of environmental damage or demand for scarce resources, including oil. At best, we are assisting the recovery of an ecosystem that has been degraded, damaged, and destroyed.
